Glo Kluuvi was created as a conversion of an existing non-hotel building into a hotel, in the very heart of Helsinki. It opened in 2007 and was rated the best hotel by OCR for the eight following years. Glo Kluuvi was Finland's first lifestyle hotel. The special feature of the concept is the open bathroom in most of the rooms: the room is divided from the bathroom by a cupboard element, and a long vanity top gives the bathroom an extra sense of luxury. After Glo Kluuvi, a small boutique hotel chain was created around the concept, and Arcibella was a major part of creating it — and part of all of their later hotels. The last of the mini chain was Glo Art, now renamed Strawberry Home Hotel Jugend Helsinki.
